Twelfth Night Party
With three successful years under its belt the CADS Twelfth Night Party is now becoming a bit of a tradition. The last one, held on Sunday (January 6th) was a great success as we acted scenes from Dickens novels and enjoyed the scrumptious food contributed by the participants. Thanks go to Jim and Ber for hosting and also to Lloyd and Barbara for sorting out the scripts (and sound effects).
The picture is of the Galette des Rois - the frangipane tart (yes, I know it sounds like something out of Dickens but that's what it is) that is traditionally eaten on Twelfth Night. Inside was a token. Whoever finds is entitled to wear the crown and to be king for a day.

What Europaworld failed to mention was that he had made the Galette de Rois. It was a pity that I do not like marzipan and so was unable to enjoy the festive treat but those that did were full of praise
It was indeed a fun evening and thanks to all who participated.
Hear hear!
